Digital Inclusion and Skills Development

Digital inclusion means ensuring that every Nigerian — regardless of gender, location, age, or income — has meaningful access to digital tools, connectivity, and the skills to use them. It is the foundation of an equitable digital economy.

Why Digital Inclusion Matters for Nigeria

Nigeria has over 220 million people. The vast majority of them — particularly in rural areas, among women, and in northern states — remain digitally excluded. This is not simply a technology problem; it is a development crisis. Without digital skills, citizens cannot access government services, employment opportunities, financial inclusion tools, or the growing benefits of a digital economy.

For Niger State — with 25 local government areas, significant rural communities, and a population target of 75% digital literacy by 2027 — digital inclusion is the defining challenge and the defining opportunity of the decade.
