Suleiman Isah is the Pioneer Director General of the Niger State Information Technology and Digital Economy Agency (NSITDEA) and one of Nigeria’s leading public-sector technology administrators. Previously serving as Niger State’s first-ever Commissioner for Communications Technology and Digital Economy (2023–2025), he championed AI-driven payroll reform that saved the state government ₦500 million, migrated 24,000 civil servants to cloud infrastructure, and deployed a learning management system reaching 350,000 users. He holds an MSc in Information Security and Digital Forensics from the University of East London. He is recognised among Nigeria’s Top 50 Digital Economy personalities and speaks globally on AI in government, GovTech, and Africa’s digital future.

Suleiman Isah is a Nigerian public-sector technology leader serving as the Pioneer Director General of the Niger State Information Technology and Digital Economy Agency (NSITDEA) — an independent statutory agency established under the NSITDEA Law (2025) to drive Niger State’s digital agenda with financial autonomy and regulatory authority over digital service providers across the state.
He previously served as Niger State’s first-ever Commissioner for Communications Technology and Digital Economy, appointed in August 2023 by Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago. During his tenure, he led an AI-driven payroll reform that eliminated ghost workers and saved the government ₦500 million; migrated 24,000 civil servants to a unified cloud email system; deployed a Learning Management System used by over 350,000 users; digitised patient records across 23 secondary health facilities; launched TechSis to increase female participation in technology; and established a UNDP-backed MakerSpace innovation hub in Minna. He also secured the abolition of fibre optic right-of-way charges across Niger State — a landmark policy for digital infrastructure expansion.
Isah holds an MSc in Information Security and Digital Forensics from the University of East London and a BSc in Computer Science and IT from Igbinedion University, Okada. He is completing an Executive MBA at Lagos Business School. He holds Cisco, Microsoft, EC-Council, and RedHat certifications, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria.
